Joy is a Sports and Media industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in senior positions with leading organizations including the History Channel, National Geographic, ESPN, Kolkata Knight Riders and FIFA. While serving as the Project Director for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Joy made the country proud as the tournament achieved the highest attendance in the history of the competition with 1,347,133 spectators. He is currently heading up India’s Pro Volleyball League as its Chief Executive Officer.

Sunil Gulati is the former President of the United States Soccer Federation(USSF) from 2006 to 2018. In April 19, 2013, he was elected to a four-year term on the FIFA Council. In March 2014, he was unanimously re-elected to a record third four-year term as USSF president; having been elected initially in 2006 and re-elected again in 2010. Gulati is also a senior lecturer in the economics department of Columbia University. He is the former president of Kraft Soccer for the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer. He conducts a module on the US Soccer Federation and the governing and functioning of FIFA at GISB.

Mr. McKelvey’s research lies at the nexus of sport marketing, sponsorship and intellectual property law. A noted international authority on ambush marketing, he teaches Sport Law and Sport Sales Promotion at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Prior to joining the UMass faculty in 2002, McKelvey worked for 15 years in the sport marketing industry in New York City, including 6 years in MLB’s Corporate Sponsorship department and 9 years with sport sponsorship consulting agencies. He holds a B.A. from Amherst College, M.S. in Sport Management from UMass Amherst, and a J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law.

Bradley applies techniques from machine learning to problems in sport consumer behavior and sport analytics. His recent research focuses on the intersection of consumer loyalty, brand building, digital sport management, and emerging technologies. Baker teaches sports analytics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is also a cofounder of D5ai, a start-up that conducts research on novel approaches in deep learning and artificial intelligence, leading to a portfolio of issued and pending patents.

A graduate from FIFA Masters in Sports Humanities, Management and Law, Hicham’s experience spans over 15 years in multiple leadership positions at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Malaysia and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Egypt. He also led the Morocco Bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2026 as the Chief Executive Officer. Sukhvinder has over 15 years of experience in the industry. He worked with Nike India to establish their football brand and then moved on to the AIFF where as he completely revamped the Federation’s marketing department. In her career spanning over two decades, Rashim has played many roles, all taking her closer to her love for sport. Nicole's research focuses on diversity and inclusion in sport organizations. Within this line of work, she examines the antecedents of workplace or team inclusion and the subsequent performance benefits of creating such environments. In addition, she explores ways to empower sport employees and athletes to become effective change agents for social justice within sport. She is a North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) research fellow, and her work has been published in her field's top journals and presented at a number of prestigious academic and practitioner conferences. Dr. Melton earned her Ph.D., MS, and BBA from Texas A&M University, and has held previous academic positions at Seattle University and Texas Tech University. In her life before academia, she was a professional golfer and then worked as a consumer test analyst for NIKE GOLF. As a professor, she maintains her connection to the sport industry by consulting with various sport organizations (e.g., ESPN, US Soccer) on how to make sport more accessible and inclusive for diverse populations.

Before joining the McCormack Department, Professor Albert worked for several years as an economic consultant specializing in economic impact analysis. As a lecturer at UMass since 2017, he focuses on designing and teaching courses in sport economics, sport finance, and sport marketing research. His interests center on the intersection of economics, sociology, and marketing. More specifically, he teaches about the economic history of sports leagues, the shifting sports business model, the monopolistic nature of American closed sports leagues, and the peculiar characteristics of sports fanaticism.
